DIY African Lady Mosaic Kit

Have fun creating this stylish African Lady mosaic kit.

The design is inspired by the women all over Africa.

The women are taught the skill of carrying loads on their heads during childhood. In some African communities they start learning around the ages of 6 to 8 years old. If they pass the age of 15 without knowing how to carry something on their heads, they would not get the opportunity to learn again.

When carrying a load and to avoid hurting their heads, they use a piece of rolled cloth for protection. Over time the women develop strong necks and posture. It also means that whilst their head is occupied they are able to keep their hands free for other much needed duties.

The kit comes with full instructions and everything you need. Once completed display it on a stand or have it framed.
