MOSAIC WITH MINDFULNESS

Learn something NEW, set aside some YOU time to RELAX and RESET your mind.
I offer online or in-person classes as set out below.

It is my intention to not only help you learn how to create mosaics, but to also encourage you to take time out and focus on your well-being.  When you decide to create that space for YOU, you are saying YES to nurturing your mind body and soul.

I also aim to teach informative and beneficial workshops that encourage students to understand the process and learn various techniques, enabling them to apply the acquired skills to larger projects.

Disclaimer: Mosaics have also been known to be very addictive and could prevent you from eating, spending time with your children and exercising! ;o)

SLIM WALL ART INSPIRED BY AFRICA
(Next workshop – Sunday, 20 October 2024)

In this 3 hour workshop we will incorporate a blend of African beads to create a simple but attractive piece of wall art.

You will be shown how to prepare your base, mix your own adhesive and combine the materials using a range of techniques to create interest and texture.

ONLINE SLIM WALL ART INSPIRED BY AFRICA

In this 3 hour workshop we will meet ONLINE and I will teach you how to create a simple but attractive piece of wall art.

You will be shown how to prepare your base, mix your own adhesive and combine the materials using a range of techniques to create interest and texture.

MIXED MEDIA ART
(Next workshop – Sunday, 17 November 2024)

In this workshop we will explore and play with a range of materials to create an abstract piece of wall art or something you can display on a stand.

You will be shown how to prepare your square or circular base, mix your own adhesive and use a range of techniques to create interest and texture.

MAKE A MOSAIC
(Next workshop – Sunday, 1 December 2024)

You will learn how to use mosaic nippers, how to create shapes and I will go through various andamento styles and also talk to you about grouting.

You will be working on a either a 25cm x 25 cm mdf board or 30cm x 16cm mdf board.

MAKE A MOSAIC WREATH/CENTRE PIECE
(Next workshop – Sunday, 15 December 2024)

In this workshop you will be creating your own festive wreath or centre piece using mosaic materials.

You will learn how to cut shapes, use andamento and I will be talking about fixings and how to grout.

MAKE A MOSAIC MASK
(Next workshop – Saturday, 18 & Sunday, 19 January 2025)

In this weekend workshop, you will be guided through the step-by-step process of creating your own mosaic mask.

Day 1:

You will design your mask, learn how to cut and prepare it for the application of mosaic tiles.

Day 2:

You will learn how to mix your own adhesive and will be taught how to apply materials.
